ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility requirements for the You’ve Got The Part!™ are set forth in the Rules.

By submitting your contest application, you accept the terms and conditions of these contest rules. If you are invited to participate for in-person auditions, you will be asked to sign physical copies.

*Contest for residents of the continental United States only, sorry, but maybe next time Canada.

 

THE ONLINE AUDITION PROCESS

No Guarantee of Audition

There is no guarantee that your submitted video will be viewed, of if viewed, that you will be invited to an in person audition.

No Guarantee of Being Included in the Program

You acknowledge that the contest will be filmed to create a program (the “Program”) which may be distributed via television, Internet, cable, satellite, or any other such means. You acknowledge that the producers reserve the right, exercisable at any time in their sole discretion, to determine whether or not to include you and your submitted video in the Program, and there is no guarantee that you will be included in the Program.

You’ve Got The Part reserves the right to change the primary film indicated in the contest. Example: should Mr. Pink not be made, or be delayed for any reason, YGTP will get the grand prize winners a part in a different film of the company’s choosing.

What to Wear In Your Video Audition

Please do not wear any clothing items that reveal any tattoos, that have designer names, sports teams, or any other logos or brand names, or bearing the name or likeness of a celebrity, living or dead.

What to Do In Your Video Audition

In your video audition, tell the director, producers and judges that this is for the show You’ve Got The Part! And youvegotthepart.com. This should be done at the very beginning of the audition prior to your reading. Read the selected audition script and do not deviate from them. Please be creative but read the sides as is and do not add to or take away from them. When you have completed the audition, please restate that the audition is for You’ve Got The Part ! and youvegotthepart.com. You’ve Got The Part! Reserves the right to disqualify any videos submitted that don’t adhere to the rules of the contest.

Rules of Submission

* Your video may not be more than two minutes in length.
* You must read from the provided audition script (CLICK HERE)
* Your video may not state your name in the video for reasons of privacy.
* Your video may not include musical works or soundtracks unless you have express written consent from the owner(s) of said works or soundtracks (which may need to be produced by you upon request).
* You should be the only recognizable person in the video; no other people should recognizably appear in the video.
* Nudity, sexual, or offensive acts in the video will result in disqualification.
* Your video must be submitted in one of the following formats: MPEG, MPG, MP4, WMV, ASF, AVI (including DIVX),3gp, and 3g2 to your YouTube account. The title of your video must include: You’ve Got The Part – Mr Pink Video Audition.

Chances and Odds

Since this is a contest which is based on your performance and the selection criteria, and not a game of chance, it is not possible to assess your odds. Additionally, we have no way of knowing how many persons will participate in You’ve Got The Part!™ or in the contest overall.

Disqualifications

Except where otherwise prohibited by law, we reserve the right to disqualify and/or exclude, in our sole and absolute discretion, any individual from the audition process or at any point during the contest, for any reason or for no reason at all, including without limitation, violation of any portion of the Rules and the Internet Rules, or tampering with the entry process or the audition process or any potential voting process. Being chosen to audition and/or compete at any level in the process does NOT ensure that you will be selected to continue to the next stage.

Dates

**Dates may change periodically

The first level will close on August 31 or before 10,000 entries.

The second level will close on September 30 or before 5,000 entries.

This will continue up through Levels 3 and 4. Once at Level 4, the next levels will be announced until the final 10 are chosen.

Dates of future contests will be posted on the site and sent through the newsletter.

 

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Your submission of your video audition constitutes your consent and agreement to the recording and use of your performance, appearance, name, voice, likeness and any musical or sound effects produced by you and/or them for use in connection with any television program, motion picture or the Internet for all purposes (including advertising, marketing, promotion, republishing to different websites, merchandising and the exploitation of any and all ancillary and subsidiary rights), as the same may be edited, in all media now known or hereafter created, throughout the universe, in perpetuity for no compensation, unless otherwise required by law. If you do not wish to be seen, or do not agree with these terms, PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT ANY VIDEO OF YOURSELF. The submission of your video audition by yourself will be conclusively deemed to be a waiver of any and all claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, etc. All federal, state and local laws apply.

This contest is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If your video audition contains either, even if you are the only participant in the video, do not submit it on www.youvegotthepart.com. Also, be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation.

Do not post or submit videos showing dangerous or illegal acts, like animal abuse or bomb making. Displays of violence are not allowed. If your video shows someone getting hurt, attacked, or humiliated, do not post or submit it.

Upload only videos that you made.. This means do not upload videos you did not make or use content in your videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or videos made by other users, without their permission.

We encourage free speech and defend every person’s right to express unpopular points of view. But we do not permit hate speech which contains slurs or the malicious use of stereotypes intended to attack or demean a particular group based on gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, and/or nationality.

You’ve Got The Part!™, including its Producers and Sponsors, are not responsible for submissions or entries that are incomplete, delayed, illegible, garbled, misdirected, misrouted as a result of interrupted or unavailable network connections or Internet transmissions for any reason or for any computer, phone or phone line hardware or software malfunction, failure or error of any kind, whether electronic, human or mechanical.

You’ve Got The Part!™, including its Producers and Sponsors, are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission, whether caused by Sponsor, users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the competition or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user’s system or limit a participant’s ability to participate in the competition.

+What’s going on?

This is a once in a lifetime chance, to be seen and possibly appear NOT just in a Hollywood movie, but YOU will be seen World Wide by casting directors, directors, and producers who are casting OTHER films!

How do you get discovered? By getting yourself out there for the World to view, vote and to Hollywood victory!

+How many parts are up for grabs?

One male and one female. You never know how you might get that big break.

+How do I audition?

Glad you asked. It’s as easy as 1,2, 3.

1. Get your phone, webcam, or camera ready.
2. Tape yourself reading the lines provided.
3. Upload the video to Youtube and submit it and the rest is film history. **The title of your video must include: You’ve Got The Part – Mr Pink Video Audition. Also, make sure your video is marked to allow voting on it through Youtube.

After you do those steps above, make sure to fill in the contest form.

You, your buddy, your boyfriend. your girlfriend, your parents, anyone.

+How do I vote?
You can vote on any submission.

+How is the part chosen?

The 10 finalists (5 gentlemen & 5 ladies) will be flown out to Hollywood on one of our sponsored airlines. We’ll pick you up, put you up, and let you do your thing in front of the director himself. He/She will work with and audition each of the final 10 contestants. You wow the director, you win yourself a part in his movie. Simple as that.

For everyone’s viewing pleasure, we’ll record the final auditions and let the world know what went down. Thespians take note: It’ll be playtime on a big, big stage.

How long will the final 10 be in California?
Three to ten days and we won’t know until probably two weeks prior!

+How can I find funny/awesome/cool/terrible/different videos?

Glad you asked. The site is changing constantly. All auditions are submitted by participants to YouTube and required to have the subject title: You’ve Got The Part: (name of movie) Video Audition. In the current contest, it’s You’ve Got The Part – Mr Pink Video Audition

+Will there be only one movie ever cast on this site?
Negative. Once we have cast these roles, we’ll begin casting for our next project. Which movie? What are the roles? Sign up for our mailing list and we’ll let you know.

+Terms of pay for the project if selected?
It really depends on what role a person would be chosen for. SAG minimum is about five hundred for the day, and a weekly rate is about four grand, IF THE PERSON IS CAST that is…”

+What if the video has technical problems?
You should make sure your video is in full working order BEFORE you submit it to You’ve Got The Part. We realize there may be some issues that your video runs into and you might not notice a technical problem right away, so you may contact us to have your video link changed, but only for technical difficulties.”
